Announcement from the IBO on May 2020 Examinations for IB Diploma Programme

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please find attached a letter from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) announcing that the IB Diploma examinations for the May 2020 sessions will no longer be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The IBO are working closely with schools to ensure that students are fairly awarded results that are reflective of their standard of work. The IBO will be releasing more detail over the next couple of weeks with in-depth information and ‘FAQs’. As such, we will be in a better position to answer the questions you may have once we re-open from the Spring Break on 7th April.

If you have urgent questions then please contact me or Mr. Garden (cgarden@iss.edu.sg) regarding academic matters or Ms. Kys (jkys@iss.edu.sg) for careers or university queries. However, please note we are working with the IBO on moving forward so will be in a better position to fully answer questions when we return on 7th April.

If you would like to discuss this message or the letter from the IBO in another language, then please email Ms. Cheng Fang (chengfang@iss.edu.sg) for Chinese, Ms. Miho Tsumura (mtsumura@iss.edu.sg) for Japanese or Mr. Brian Kim (bkim@iss.edu.sg) for Korean.

Thank you for your understanding at this time and we look forward to continuing to work with you over the coming weeks to ensure a fair outcome.

Sincerely,

Christopher Hayward

High School Principal
