Technology

Educating to Make a Difference

Our vision is to assist learners in developing information literacy skills and ethical practices that guide their learning now and in the future. We do this by using technology in a relevant, meaningful, responsible, and authentic way to empower student learning.

We centre our vision of technology at ISS International School around these principles:

Equitable Access

Learners of different ages and abilities have access to technologies that suit their specific learning abilities and styles.

Ongoing Professional Learning

We nurture a community that is adaptable in its approach to information literacy and one that endeavours to remain current in the application of technology in teaching and learning.

Student Centred Learning

We equip all learners with skills and knowledge that empower them to be leaders in their future careers. We leverage technology as a personal organisational tool for individuals to create their own path of learning.

Responsible and Ethical Use

We provide guidance and support to the ISS International School community on responsible and ethical digital lifestyles with authentic use of online platforms throughout our teaching and learning.

Application of Learning

We enable and guide learners in using technology to inquire, analyse, synthesise and communicate information throughout their learning.

Policies

ISS International School is committed to ensuring that all students are treated fairly and equitably. With this in mind, ISS International School has developed an acceptable user policy (found in our student handbook) that will help ensure this happens. It is essential that all students, parents and guardians read the document and fully understand its contents.
