Catching Up With the Middle School Boys Basketball Team

The 2015 Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools (ACSIS) U14 Boys Basketball season got underway in March with ISS traveling to Tanjong Katong to take on the Huskies of the Canadian International School. Our boys earned a well-deserved victory with a score of 41-29.

ISS hoped to carry that momentum into their next game, but found themselves over matched by an experienced Singapore American School team. ISS played hard until the final minute, but couldn’t overcome their lack of experience. Despite the loss, the boys represented ISS well.

ISS’ next match was versus the Global Indian International School. The teams were evenly matched and it was an exciting back and forth affair. Unfortunately, the boys found themselves on the wrong side of a 38-30 score. A great effort was given and the boys took the loss in stride.

ISS got back in the win column with a 38 – 35 victory over the Overseas Family School (OFS). The boys were unable to maintain an early lead, but rallied in the 4th quarter to secure the victory!

With one match remaining, ISS hopes to improve their record to 3-2. A victory will send the ISS Boys to the 2015 ACSIS tournament later this month.
