The purpose of this experience was for the MS students to learn more about the flora and fauna found within the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. This is aimed at helping students understand, at a deeper level, the aims of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular:

As well as the work on the SDGs each House (Newton, Orchard, Raffles, Somerset) were involved in a flora and fauna scavenger hunt/bingo game/crossword challenge to really immerse themselves in what can be seen and heard in the nature reserve.

The Service as Action day reinforces the school’s link to facilitating our student’s knowledge and understanding of the local community, and how this ties into each student being a global citizen.
